I am looking for a classic design camera bag like the Lowepro Rezo 160 to hold the D40, kit lens, 70-300VR and flash unit. Can someone recommend one? Thanks.

Don't try to get too close a fit as you will outgrow the bag very quickly. I started with a Lowepro Offtrail 2 http://www.lowepro.com/Products/Belt...f_Trail_2.aspx then got another lens and ran out of room! Now I use a Lowepro Compact AW http://www.lowepro.com/Products/Shou...ompact_AW.aspx but had to add a Lowepro Utility Case http://www.lowepro.com/Products/Acce...lity_Case.aspx to handle extra accessories.

The moral, try and plan for a bag larger than you need right now!

I actually have the same question. I was looking at the tamrac velocity 6x
http://tamrac.com/frame_velocity.htm
or maybe even the 7x.

what does everyone think of this case?

Hi,

I do not have this particular Tamrac model but I did check it out and I think it might meet your needs. I recently purchased a Tamrac Explorer 2 which will be more than enough room for my Nikon D40 w/kit lens - too large, in fact - but I intend to keep it because I plan to purchase the 18-135mm lens and eventually the 70-300mmVR. The bag would be just fine for this equipment and will also have room for the 400 flash unit, extra memory, battery, etc. Here is the Tamrac Explorer 2, Model 5502: (you may have to look for it):
