Hello,

I have come here before to read advice about getting a digital camera, but I am now in the market for a new "geotagging device". It sounds like there are two versions:

ATP Photofinder or the Pharos Streets and Pics.

I LIKE the first one, the photofinder, how it works offline. But, it seems to me, that the Pharos one is FAR more robust, since it will work with more than just .jpeg images. The Photofinder sounds simpler to use... and I LIKE simple... but it REALLY seems the latter is far more robust. Anyone have any comments?

I GENERALLY have my laptop around when taking pictures. I would love to know if anyone has heard of a head to head review.

Have you considered the Sony GPS Unit Kit GPS-CS1KA? Naturally, it only works witha few Sony cameras, and if you don't have one, then this is of no use.

From the page you linked to:

"The GPS-CS1KA GPS image tracker and supplied Picture Motion Browser software are compatible with virtually all digital still cameras."

I missed that.

I remember something about it only working with a handful of Sony's digicams. That must have been an earlier model or something.

Thanks for catching that.

After some more research, I ended up going with the Royaltek 2300.
