From experience with the HS10 I never found a hood that worked on it with blocking the lens at wide angle or was so wide it was not helping with lens flare. The only hood that works on my HS10 is the one that came with my HS20. Contact Fuji and see if you can order the hood that is sold with the HS20.

Another consideration is that any lens hood on a wide range zoom lens, has to be a compromise, and would probably work well in mid-range, but not so good at extreme ends of the range.
There are rubber hoods that can fold back in stages, which is probably a more practical option. The type I mean is as the link below. ... Jack
