:?Please help. I am new to music download. I contacted customer support at Smartdisk and they recommended Winamp or musicmatch to download mp3. I am having a problem.

Downloaded a song from musicmatch and the file extension is wma. I see that the flashtrax will only recognize mp3.

I downloaded the full version of Winamp and I can't seem to find how to get music?I cannotconvert the song to mp3 in Winamp.

How do I convert the file to mp3?What site and player should I use for the flashtrax?

Just general help on how to copy downloaded music from my computer to the flashtrax. Using Windows Xp SP2. Thanks.

hum .... you should be in the wrong forum , it`s a photography forum here:|. Nevertheless, I have some indications:

WMA extention is a Window Media Audio file
You should be able to play it with windows media player (included in windows)

About converting between format, I use and like very much the ACE-HIGH MP3 WMA OGG Converter
You can download a limited use version here:

http://www.mp3towma.com/

(the non registred limit you in the number of converted files , 10 of each kind, but each one will be complete)
(if you are not able to convert, the wma then should be encrypted)

===============

Sorry about saying you are in the wrong forum, in fact I just discovered FlashTrax, great product , I will see if I get one

WinAmp is a player, I don't think it help you download anything.

Can I store data other than pictures, videos and music on FlashTrax?
Yes, since FlashTrax looks like an external hard drive to the PC to which it is connected, it can be used just like any external, portable hard drive. So you could use FlashTrax to back up or transfer documents, spreadsheets, etc.

I guess you will see flashtrax as a drive letter (under My Computer) and you just drag and drop files

Your Musicmatch can save(or record) as MP3!

In Option -> Setting -> Recorder pick MP3 (160 or 128kbps) instead of WindowMedia or WAV!

I love the flashtrax, best gadget I have ever used. Shot a wedding the other day and took over 1000 pics, it was invaluable for storing, and even used it to show the grooms father a taster of the pics at the reception...great device!! Also for converting videos to the format to play on flashtrax click here, great piece of software...
