Default camera to PC and PC to camera

Iam looking for a software or digital camera or both by which we can see the images on the pc monitor while we shoot. My intention is to use it for taking ID pictures . So that while I shoot and also after shooting, the customer can see the picture on the PC monitor and select the best shots.Swapping the memory cards from camera to PC is not suitable because it spoils the contact if you use it continously.I want the camera to be mounted on a movable stand and PC connected to it. So that while shooting we can see on monitor and also after shooting and then if customer like print can be made.

Another option would be to use the video out on the camera to connect to a TV. I have my Nikon 885 hooked to a small TV.

Check out the software to control your camera in the digicam software portion of this board.

Goodmorning, try this link. Download the beta version. It works perfect and it will do your work, believe me. By the way I'm looking for something like that but to have livefeed back of what my camera aims to. Do you know any software?

the canon software does this.

I don't own a sony, but I had a pretty indepth look at the p12, before I bought my canon s50.
the sony's seemed to be pretty much geared to the snap photographer, than the 'i want to play with lots of settings photographer'
For this reason, i don't expect they've implemented remote release or remote viewing.

but, the p12, (I had to email sony a whole load of times to sort this out.) the p12 is a USB 2, interface (so that could be good for remote viewing) except that in the UK they ship it with usb 1 cable, and don't sell it as usb2.... long story...
There's a dozen other reasons i went for the canon in the end..
