Does anyone know where I get one?.. I found one on Ebay, but the seller states it covers part of the mic. I use video a lot, so prefer to have nothing disrupting sound.

An eyecup would be used on the viewfinder eyepiece ..... right ?

The microphone is at the front of the camera !

So, how does the eyecup cover part of the mic ?

Please note that the eyepiece does cover (a little bit) the microphone at the top of the viewfinder. It can be pulled back a little if you are using the microphone.

Could be .... I don't know where the mic is on the S1 .... but you'd think it would still be on the front!

That statement does refer to the S1, as its microphone is positioned just above the viewfinder. I purchased that eye piece a few months ago and think it's great. What is affected however is opening or closing the LCD, but it's no big problem since you only have to lift up a portion on the lower edge to either open or close the LCD.

I upgraded from the S1 to the S2 (kept the S1) and use the eye piece on either with no real problems since I use mainly the viewfinder for composing the shots. (Except for close-ups, macros, etc.)

I'd be lost without the eye piece and feel the price was well worth it.
