My hands are not real steady. So I use a monopod often. For me, a monopod is easier to move around than a tripod, but it still can be a bit clunky when extended all the way out. I'm 6 foot 4,inches tall. In centimeters, that's ... uh...uh... kind of tall for a guy . So that's a lot of extending and un-extending of the monopod.

So I took an old cell phone holster and ran by pants belt thru it and positioned the holster right in front of the zipper of my pants.

The monopod foot fits nicely into the holster and I only have to make the initial height adjustment... from that point forward, my monopod is at the right height for shooting.

Does this belong in new technology? Probably not. But it's a new idea...

Sounds like a pretty good idea. Maybe the Tips and Tricks forum would be better.

Thinking on it, it reminds me of the flag carriers used by marching bands.
