Default VCD SlideShow Maker

I am thinking about making some sort of program that will allow users to take their digital photos and create slide shows which can be burned to VCDs. Trying to figure out what the most important features are, such as menu creation, soundtrack format, and transition styles. Thanks for your feedback! The survey link is below.

I use both Photo Relay from Easy CD creator 5.0 platuim. 1 step mindless process to make, with MP3 or Wave sound track, Also has tansitions. puts al on CD part of quick creation. places the software on cd also. The new Camedia Master pro 4.0 aalso does this few more steps but manuel secections. Love the ease of photo relay, couple of minutes and people are impressed with finshed product.

I use Digital Photo Slide Show. I like the fact that the images aren't converted into a proprietary format, there is an ability to create custom autorun files for the CD you are making, and it only takes a few minutes to drag and drop the files to CD and create a finished product.

Good luck Johan,
I've had a crack at making something simular using vb6, - due
to other (DIY) projects its been on hold for about 6 months...

feedback I had was

Import AVI files from the camera and include in show

sync length of Slideshow to music length

facility to ''force'' to next picture (so that user manually changes
to next slide, to sync pics to music )

Simple interface!

Exif data to be shown as overlay text

transistion effects: fade in out / slide in from one of 4 directions,

My ideas would be:

zoom and pan transistions

640 x 480 picture (with auto up/down sampling)
