I just purchased Canon's SD300 which came with only a 16mb SD card.

As I am aiming for a Sandisk 512mb, my question is, will there be a noticable difference if I went with the Sandisk Ultra 2, or even the Extreme? Like is the difference felt while taking pictures? Does it affect storage? Is it only faster when transfering to the PC?

Also, is Sandisk the best brand for SD cards?

On a side note, anyone purchase a good case for your SD300?

Traditionally (with SanDisk CF cards) their normal card is VERY slow. Extremely slow. I don't know if this holds true with their SD cards.

On the other hand, it is almost guarrentied that your camera won't write data fast enough to take advanage of the faster cards. If the price difference is minimal... sure get the faster card. But if it's a lot, I probably would not do it.
