I ordered a Canon a620 camera and just got it tonight. Still dunno what I'm doing, really... but I tested about 15 pictures. Have this little spec in all my pictures, all in the same spot. I've not touched the lens, but if I hold up the lens, it looks like a little miscolored spec of glass is visible on the inside of the outer lens. I don't know if that's the cause. But can someone please tell me what I should do about fixing this?

Looks like the tiny box you get when you make a "selection" in an image editing program for redeye reduction. The box outline shows the area where the program will "erase" the red in the eye caused by light or flash bulb.

Does your camera have red-eye reduction mode and a menu for it to turn off and on maybe? Also, maybe the camera has a defect and won't allow it to be turned off and on.

I'm not an expert by any means and this is all a guess. LOL.

Well, some of the folks at's forums seem to think it's a problem with the sensor's pixels, or something. I'm also getting unusually dark pictures with my flash... draining light from the outer edges. Here's the thread, if anyone feels like board-hopping...
