I use Irfanview for viewing and batch processing and it's lossless JPG options - I have about 8 image editing programs however I find I am increasingly using the Gimp for all other work - took some time to get used to it, read a lot of tutorials and tried them out that helped a lot - now I try out Photo Shop tuts and try and adapt them to the Gimp.
I also have Serif Photo Plus 6 and have never had any problems slowing my computer - not even on earlier ones like 133MHz - could be some other conflict. Max |

I've been using the new version of StudioLine Photo, version 2.12.2and it is exceptional for beginner editors. There are pop up tips that make it so easy. And it's only $44 and you can try it before you buy.
