Hi.
I'm just about to get my first digital camera. I have narrowed it down to 2 diffrent ones wich I can get for roughly the same price. It stands between the Nikon CoolPix 885 and the Canon A-60. I know that there are a difference in the Mpix, so another question are if it makes a big diffrence. The camera will be used mainly to take pictures og my kids and the make papercopys to be put in an normal photo album. Wich camera should i choose. Any comments are highly appriciated. Regards, Henrik Granlund Sweden |

I haven't used either camera, but I would suggest reading reviews of both. Also, visit the Canon and Nikon section of this site and read what others are saying. Which models are available locally? It often helps to be able to hold a camera in your hands before deciding which one to purchase. Good luck.

Here are my observations as a casual(ty) photographer.
I've used a Canon Powershot A40 and a Minolta DiMage S414. In full auto mode and for the money, the 2 megapixel Canon is my pick. |
