Digital Photography Books/Magazine on Manual Settings

I just purchased a Epson 3100Z and it's full with features especially in the manual setting area. I've been using auto mode, and would like to get real familiar with manual settings.

Can anyone recommend a good digital photography book and magazine subscription that covers manual settings, as to when to use it, when not to use it etc.. and a good definition of all the features to enhance your photo?

Detail info on some manual settings like the following....

46-49 lens adapter for adding additional professional macro/telephoto/wide angle lenses and filters

the up to 8s shutter

Panorama shots

Continuous shot mode for action sequences

Interval mode

Switching mode

Macro

White Balance setup

Thanks!

Matt
