Default Dimage f100 or Olymp C-4000 or Coolpix 3100? My agenda...

I would like to be able to have some manual capability on this digital camera because I shoot night photos often - sunsets, skies, etc. I also would like to do close ups of insects and so forth. I can go either 3 or 4 MP but I only have about $330 to spend.

Is this do-able?

The Oly C4000 is highly regarded.

I'd replace the nikon 3100 with the canon a70. The a70 is 330 before shipping at bhphotovideo last time i checked. Also according to the dcresource.com review of the 3100 the a70 blows it away, plus it has a ton of manual features. Also, what about the minolta s414?
