Default A few printer questions to ask you guys...

My current printer is an Epson 777- I like it, but I don't know about picture quality. I have 66lb. premium glossy paper (generic) and generic ink, and the quality has been good, but I don't remember the settings I used, and it could take a while to find them...

I know have three options (as I see them):

1- I can continue to use generic ink (is it any different from Epson ink?) and generic/maybe Epson paper.- Can someone share good settings with me?

2- I go out and buy a real photo printer... what photoprinters are cheap, having cheap ink (or compatible ink)?

3- I have a lab print my pictures when all else fails.

I'd love to hear all comments, as well as the difference between name brand and generic ink, if anyone knows them.
