My first post
This may be something beyond the scope of this group and better addressed to the technicians at the various camera manufacturers... But my question is about how bridge (and even other compact) cameras that have an hdmi port often only use that port for the play back of existing images/video, and not as a view screen for the camera's display. I was wondering if such a limitation was likely firmware or actually hardware based, and if only firmware, why manufacturers may have decided not to enable it during screen view (the way they usually do allow for their composite video ports).
