i would just like to ask, video quality wise, whats the difference can be found between a good bridge cam like FZ35 and say - an entry level camcorder from sony/canon etc.
for example, the entry level camcorder like canon LEGRIA FS36 has nearly same price, but doesn't have HD capability.while FZ35 has 720p video.
so, what are the advantages the camcorders have that justifies their price?

If you actually look at the recording system on a moderately priced camcorder, you will find that (1) it is different that a digital camera that records video. (2) that difference, providing you have the proper lens allows better low light level image quality in the camcorder.

If you go upscale in camcorders, you will find that they have as many as three imagers, working in tandem, something that digital camera cannot offer.

do you think digicams (again pls take fz35 or hs10 as example) can produce sharp, clear and flawless video of some indoor sports action, under moderate/ adequate lighting?
