I am not able to load an Avatar into my profile. I have pushed my pic size down to as low as 10kb .jpg at maximum compression and I am told that it is still too big. (That pic would be smaller than a dime.) How are the 200 x 200 avatars being loaded to profiles? What format is being used to get it done?

Once you have the file size below 15kb are you then sure you have the dimensions smaller than 200 pixels by 200 pixels ?

Most use .jpg but some use .gif, in fact quite a few use animated gif.

You might also want to use 'save for web' if you use Photoshop, this helps to reduce the file further still by stripping the EXIF.

Alternatively, post the pic here, as you have got it now and I will have a look at trying to get it sorted for you.

My avatar is 160px by 160px and 11.72kb.

I made mine 180 x 180, so I would be sure it was small enough.

Plus saved it down to 12.4 kbs.

Good Luck
