I have an FZ20 with a Hoya UV filter, and I also bought a linear polarizer for it. Now I'm buying a rubber hood (72mm). The problem I see with this is that I can't see how you adjust the polarizer while the hood is on there!

Actually, I just ordered the hood and then had the thought. I wonder if I should get a 62mm hood so it can go on the outside threads of the polarizer. That way I could at least adjust it. But I wonder about vignetting.

I am very new to all this and wonder if some folks can shed some light on use of a polarizer with a rubber hood. Thanks.

I reach in with the edge of my finger to turn the polarizer. I have a hard plastic hood...I would think it would be even easier with a rubber hood.

You can always fold back a rubber hood

How does your hood attach? Is it straight or flaired?

I don't have a hood (other than the adapter) but the FRONT ring on my polarizer turns. If your hood is a screw mount to fit the filter, you grab the hood and turn it.

If you're mounting filters to the end of the hood (big end), you turn the ring on the polarizer.
