It is impossible to keep the quality but with good editing you can get an acceptable representation. Just make sure you apply unsharp mask as the final part of you process to give it some 'pop'.
style="BACKGROUND-COLOR: #000000"Personally the size I include photos at varies from about 550 for the longest side to 800 on very special occasions. If you do want something larger you can put a link to a shot posted elsewhere. |

Another good option, if you just want to show some detail, is to crop the image at 100% size, to something that will fit the forum.
