Default Intervalometer

I have a sony dsc hx200v bridge camera. Can I get and use successfully an intervalometer for time lapse photography? I'm not sure what specs your camera needs to have to be able to use one of these. And if I can are there psecific ones for specific camera makes and models?

There are lots of inexpensive intervalometers available, but they only work with certain cameras, and I doubt that the HX200 will make the cut. They need to use a camera's ability to use a remote shutter release, and I don't think the HX200 qualifies.

Yes I do believe you are right. The camea does not have the ability to work with a remote shutter. Thanks for your response.
