Hi, im new to this forum so please bare with me

okay, so ive bought a Nikon F5 (body only) and im after a suitable lense for this camera

now ive been looking at the Nikon 18 - 105 Dx lense and was wondering..

How would a Dx lense work on an Fx (nikon F5) body, would it work, if so would there be any draw backs?

DX lenses are designed to project a much smaller image than lenses designed for 35mm film and Full Frame SLRs. You would get significant vignetting, even unexposed areas around the edge of the exposure.
