Default Looking for cheap video editing software

Hi-
Im looking for some good choices for inexpensive video editing software for windows. I still have xp so older software can do. Im looking to post on facebook and youtube. My cameras output to .mov, .avi and .mp4 format.

I have tried a lot of free stuff like freemake, avidemux, wmm ect but none of them can handle all of the files or have all of the features needed.

Im just looking to do editing, add text, sharpening, cropping, simple effects and transitions. Any ideas would be appreciated

Thanks!

I haven't tried this myself, but have heard good things, and after all, it's free. http://www.shotcut.org/
