I have a megapix v10 cam and i can no longer upload to my pc. i get the
above error message saying it does not conform to exif-dcf standard I use Uleadphoto explorer and have not had any problems before. I have tried removing the card and using the cams memory but get same error. I have tried re-installing the usb drivers and the ulead program and using different usb ports but nothing works. Is my cheap cam broken already ? Its only had light usage. I can still see my images in the cam. Any suggestions would be really appreciated Best Wishes Sub |

Have you tried re-formatting the card in camera? If that doesn't work and you have a card reader, have you tried formatting it as a Windows drive? Does the camera give you any warnings that it isn't writing correctly?
Pretty bizarre the camera's built-in memory gives you the same warning. It makes me wonder, like you, if the camera's memory is corrupted in some way, and that is preventing a write to the card. |

Bypass the Ulead program and try to download directly from the camera to a file on your computer. With the camera attached and turned on it should show as a drive in My Computer or Windows Explorer. The drive is usually labeled either "Removable Drive" or "Camera". Click on the drive and then the folders until you see the individual photos. Edit > Select All. Right click on one of the highlighted photos and select "Copy". Right click on any folder on the computer and select "Paste". Your photos will download from the camera to the folder.
Windows doesn't care about EXIF. Or even whether the files are good. It ispossible your problem is with Ulead and the EXIF, which isn't necessary for viewing your photos in most applications. If you can't view the photos in Paint or Irfanview then they could be corrupted. But downloading the photos directly might help isolate the problem. |
