Pros compared to Konica KD-510z/Minolta G500: Faster Startup, Faster Focus (brand new hybrid autofocus system), more features (exposure/focus bracketing, etc.). Cons: Sensor Density: The Konica KD-420z/Minolta G400 will use a Smaller, Denser Sensor (it's using a 1/2.5" Sensor, which is smaller than the 1/1.8" Sensor used in the 5MP KD-510z, or some 4MP models like the Canon S400). Denser Sensors generally mean higher noise. Flash Range: the flash is much weaker in the smaller Konica KD-420z/Minolta G400, compared to the slightly larger KD-510z/G500, limiting it's useability indoors |
