I have recently upgraded from a Canon A-60 to a Panasonic FZ-20. Quite a jump. I never really mastered the Canon or even close to it even though it is very capable. The FZ is a different beast and offers more complexibility by far. After reading forums and tudrials for months and enjoying the learning process I have learned scads of info. My best tip was a link by Theresa Kelly who described how to firstly learn a bit about aperature settings and then use the histogram to set up proper exposure settings via the sutter speed in orderto properly place the histogram in the center of your lcd. All this provided you have a manual setting on your cam. This one tip, at least for me, has made a world of difference for me in simplifiing setting up for a shot. I know this is elementery for the experienced but was big time for me. If this sounds complicated, it is not. Do some searching as it is worth the effort. Now I wil return to the forums to learn the other 99.9%!
