Default Nikon D100 or Fuji S2?

I'm just getting into pro. digital from a Nikon 990...any suggestions on which camera I should go with? I'm considering the Nikon D100 and the Fuji S2. I'm doing a lot of natural light portraits as well as studio light portraits. Any imput would help!

I have heard really good things about the S2. A semi-pro photography friend of mine upgraded to the S2 (gave the D100 to his girlfriend as a present) and he absolutely loves it. Says the resolution is great.

One downside is that the software that came with it isn't as good as the Nikon's.

I would go to a store and try them both out.

Since they both use the same base body(N80), these are very similar in many respects. AF is nearly identical between the two(duh). However, the prefocus and total AF lag is about 0.06 seconds faster with the Nikon -- evidence that the lag differnce is between the processor/system of the specific cameras that are different. This may make some small difference in action photography... not something you specified. The Fuji produces higher resolution and has lower noise levels at high ISO then the Nikon. The Nikon has a higher flash synch speed(this one baffles me.. why?)(Fuji-1/125... Nikon 1/180). The Nikon 'seems' to have lower failure rate. Just some basic differences.
