I have been using PSP7 for a while, and have been considering changing. I am looking at Photoshop Elements as it seems that most magazine tutorials are Adobe based, but I was wondering what the major features are that I will be missing out compared to CS2. I am only a 'simple' :?home user but want to learn more and create better results, so will Elements do the job, should I go for PSP X or save up for CS2?

You might want to read this thread:

Hopefully it will give you some info.

I agree with the person who wrote the first reply. The problem with this type of question is that most people have not used both pieces of software, so finding someone who knows them both well enough to give you a detailed answer (the type of answer you're looking for) is hard.

I initially used PSP and preffered it to Photoshop. It just seemed more intuative to use. However I found as you have that most tutorials are based on Photoshop so I started using it and now I prefer it to PSP. That said there are some things that PSP does better but I mostly use Photoshop.

I'm using CS so I can't comment on what's missing in elements. I think all the main fuctions are there.
