Photoshop Elements 8

New to photo edititing software. How does one start off the learning process in th emost efficient manner? Thanks in advance.

It depends on how you learn. For many people, the way to start is to use the tutorials built in to the software. Others want to learn from books. My method is to load a photo, and see what I can do to it on my own, and what I can't. When I find something I want to do, but don't know how, I search out help.

I bought mine in the Spring but am just now starting to play with it. I bought a book by Scott Kelby - The photoshop elements 8 book, which I'm slowly working through but it is helpful with photo examples, etc.

Another invaluable too is youtube. There are tons of video tutorials so you can see steps in progress.....incase you're stuck on something.

I found the "Missing Manual" series to be an excellent guide. I use PSE8 for all my post processing. Here's a link to a listing on amazon.com.
