Default Question on Photoshop

When I'm not in the water, I'm on the computer learning. This is my first big glitch that I can't seem to get around. Iv'e been fooling around with making flowers appear as they are growing out of the frame I built. The procedure I have tried is this: I make two identical copys of a photo of a flower shot on a black screen. On one, I crop out the edges of the petals and add a frame. The second photo, I select and copy. When I paste this copy on the cropped picture it ALWAYS comes out looking over saturated and not even close to the master copy. What is this dumb blonde doing wrong?
Thanks for taking the time for a response.

Default Question on Photoshop

I think what is happening here is you may have one of the blend modes on like Overlay or Screen. You say the image looks more Saturated than the original so it sounds like it has been 'changed' in some way. I would check the blend mode and then check the transparency leves. If it is either of them set the blend mode to Normal or the transparency to 100%.
