Default Radio control aircraft and First person view (FPV)

Hi all.
I fly model radio control aircraft. Recently I have ventured into FPV which means that I have a view through goggles from the model of where I am flying.
For the recording device I am trying to use a 'Digilife DDV-1080HD'. The problem is that as it records via the AV in socket, and if there is interference on the video and the signal is bad, the recording stops.
This does not happen on my friends Digilife which is an earlyer model.
So my question is. Is there a way I can stop this happening so that the camera will carry on recording no matter how weak the input signal?
