Hi, As no question is a stupid question (Unless you no the answer:-))

When I take a reading with my Sekonic L-308Sfrom my strobe/softbox I get the same 60th 3.2 even when I step down to 1/8th power on the strobe, I want to shoot at around F8, the results I am getting at the moment seem far to bright, I only have the Interfit EX150 setup at the moment (don't want to splash out till I no what I'm doing:?, I use Canon 20D and only have a small space space to shoot in.

Should the modeling light be left on during shooting?

Don't no what to do now any advice please.
