So - I use my camera (and love it) for eBay. Why is it that some pictures are saved as say 1.66mb and others as say 371 kb. Why can't I have them all saved as kb? I never change my settings on the camera.

If you are using the same camera settings for all your pictures, the difference in file size is a matter of the amount of detail in the frame. A picture of a plain coffee cup, with a plain, white or grey background has less detail and therefore a smaller file size than (for instance) a close-up of your pet parrot showing the fine detail in the feathers.
If you need a particular file size in bytes, you should look into a photo viewing/editing program such as Irfanview, which will allow you to resize the photos to any dimensions you want, and choose the file size before re-saving it. brian |
