Default typical libra: f100 - sd100 - lc33 - xt??

OK, I admit it, I am horribly indecisive. I've been doing a ton of research into buying a digital camera for under or around 300 dollars. I want to use it to take both pretty (sometimes artistic) outdoor pictures, and to take to parties to get pictures of my friends.
I was originally sold on the SD100 but the 2X zoom, purple fringing, and the multiple posts I saw about some e18 error message have got me scared.
Then I looked at the f100, but it got lots of posts on bad quality as did the xt. Which scares me b/c I tend to be hard on things. I like to throw them in my purse and not spend the night worrying about it.
Looked at the LC33 because of the crispness of the images but the size and bad indoor shots got me there.
Basically I want something tough, small enough to fit in a small purse, and able to take good pictures in all lights.
Can anyone point me in the right direction??
Thanks so much!!!!

Hi Sonya__

Here is a suggestion for you:

Go to a Best Buy and find a camera that you like

Then search on Google for the best price.

Check out any online company at:

Good luck!
