That was a spammer, as the video linked to was for a commercial product for recovering images. Sometimes an image recovery product will recover photos from a camera (as some appear just like any other USB Mass Storage Device), and sometimes they won't (if they use something like PTP for connection).

But, we get those types of posts all of the time (spammers promoting commercial image recovery software). It's common for them (or the spambot software they use to make the posts) to respond to very old posts, too (even more indication that's it's spam).

I've banned the user and removed the link.

Thanks for all of the effort you invest to keep the place neat and tidy. You make it look easy but I know that is not the case.
