Honestly not sure. I know the Canon 100-400 L f4 - 5.6 gets quite good reports but also the Sigma 50-500 and the Tamron 200-500 seem to be used quite a bit (I think the Tamron more so). I would suggest posting on the Q&A section or Nature Techniques as it is not an area I have expertise in.

LOL wrams has edited his post which was asking for a good zoom for nature work..... hmmmm looks like he has made me look a little silly!!!! I think he was doing 2 things at once as I got a pm from him asking the q in that. :P
