dear sir/madam,
how do i resize an image to fit the reqd size so that i can post them i this forum?
my image is 2048x1536 and 1.10mb

What editing software are you using? Someone familiar with it can then provide a more specific -- and hopefully, helpful -- response.

There are some excellent freeware programs to resize and perform minor editing etc over at http://www.faststone.org

Plus there is always http://picasa.google.com/and http://www.irfanview.com/

for Windows XP:

'Resizer Powertoy' adds <resize image> to the right click menu
