Apologies...but we are just beginners...
We're looking for an easy to use camera that will take wonderful pictures of our wonderful children doing all their varied activities...from birthday parties to soccer games to gymnastics competitions and badminton tournaments.

Any comments?

Didn't mean to come across to harsh but a lot of new questions lack research.

Looking at the reviews, the need foir quality indoor focussing looks to be high on your list.

You have problems ...... frankly .. i'd go the Canon A70 and buy the telephoto lens for the sports shots. It has a focus lamp for indoor shots, the others dont.
