Anybody tell me kinda' quick here?

I just went outside, and clear sky, FULL moon. What's the proper setting Canon A590is, before I have to sift thru' the OM???

Thanks...

You will need to use M - manual mode, as the dark sky will cause any of the auto exposure modes to overexpose the moon. Try the 'sunny 16' rule, as the moon is being lit by direct sunlight . Start with f/16 and shutter speed the same as your ISO setting, then adjust from there. ( At ISO 100, use 1/100th s ) This will probably under expose a bit, but will give you a good starting point.

Excellent - thanks VT!

'M'/manual I can find. On the rest of the menus, well, I'm in the dark! At least I know what to look for.

If I start readin' now, I should find it by the next lunar cycle
