Default Need help choosing a digital camera

Can someone recommend a digital camera for under $200. I've heard that there are digital cameras that can't print pics on your computer. They are just for posting pics online, I would like to find a cheap one of these.

What kind of features are you looking for on top of the ability to post pictures on the internet?

For 200$ you can buy good cameras such as Canon A60 (196$ at newegg.com) but if you think of a less featured cam, i recommend you to look for 1-2 mp cheap cams with no optical zoom (ie: Kodak cx 6200, fuji A101 may be good choices)

On the other hand, for example here in Turkey, there are some low quality digicams, that are made in far east and identical in physical view, operation system etc, but in different brands (usually named with the importer company)..Perhaps you have never heard of them (Pretec, Orite, Datron etc) but they are wide sold products here since their extremely low prices (a non-optical zoom 2 mp is 50 $ for example)

If you only want to be able to post pics online a Kodac 4230 would be perfect, it seems that many people like it and it is very cheap.

I suggest you go for the Canon PowerShot A60. You might want a camera you can appreciate more as you use it, since it has manual controls and other features seldom found elsewhere for the same price.

PowerShot A60 was my suggestion also. My husband uses one, and just loves it.

Dell have them on sale. It's the second camera down on the list.
