Default Low Light/Concert Camera?

I have been looking as digital cameras lately under $1,000 and so far I really like the looks of this one because of the zoom. Now I will be using this camera a lot in all kinds of condition, BUT it will mostly be used at concerts in low light conditions. Along with the low light it will be taking pictures with odd (like neon almost) lighting of all colors. So my question is, will this camera be able to handle it? If not is there a camera you can recomend? Also, I will be using the zoom a lot. I dont know if that makes a difference but the lighting is a real concern of mine. Here are some examples of pics I will mostly be taking.

Thank you for your help!

My bad, Nikon Coolpix 5700.

Over at some other forums someone was saying the Sony DSC-F717 would be better because "At full zoom, the difference is much greater (in favor of the Sony). The Sony's lens only stops down to F2.4 at full zoom. The Nikon's lens stops down to F4.2 at full zoom. " So I was going to take a look at that.
