Default Beware of deleting

This is just a warning to all my fellow newbies to be very careful when you delete photos. I had the horrible experience of deleting over 100 photos I had taken while in Paris. I have a Sony f707 and there was a group of shots that I wanted to delete. I pulled up the grouping option on my camera which shows 8 pics at a time and I chose the option to delete these unwanted shots. The display asked do you want to delete all? To me, this meant do I want to delete all the pics shown in the display. Long story short, it deleted ALL my pics. What a heart break. Please be very careful that you know your camera better than I did and not make the same mistake.

Ack! Sorry to hear that tale. I delete one at a time from the camera, but usually only after downloading the photos to PC.

Have you done anything with that card since? If not you may be able to recover them. There are a number of utilities to un-delete image files. If the card was formatted or used again afterwards then it is probably not going to work.

Scott, sorry for you:
in my 28 berthday, i have taken 100 photos when i go to dawnload the pictures to my pc, the CF card not work any more, and i lose all my berthday photos. when i go to the store they give me a new card after 2 month (for free, delkin card).

Thanks for you advice.
