Default What makes a Series or a Set ?

Sometimes when someone posts 4 or 5 different pictures for our review & pleasure, comments come back such as "nice set" or "great series"....

Are these two terms, "set & series" used interchangeably ?

Is there a certain number of pictures or other parameters, ie: subject matter for instance, that qualify them for either one ?

In general, yes, those terms are used interchangeably. Technically, a "series" is a sequence of images, while a "set" is a collection of complimentary images.
