Yeah the tutorial is very helpful, especially since "metering" often confuses people who are new to photography (and indeed even some of the more advanced amateurs).

Thanks for your comments, glad you found it of some use!

i am in the process of putting together another on mixing Flash and Ambient lighting and the effects that can be acheived!

Ed Bray,

I went through your tutorial, and is excellent. Allot of member will get some good uses out of it. You did a way better job at putting the principle of shooting night shots into words better then anything I could have came up with.

Again great job. I look forward to reading your flash and ambient light when you post it.

Thanks, as I said earlier it's just a shame that it is posted in the Canon section and that a lot of Non-Canon owning members may never see it.

Perhaps I should put the mixed lighting tutorial in the general section? It should hopefully be finished in the next week or so (I still have to take some suitable images)!
