Default Have a Canon S50 Why are pic's coming out crappy ??

I take lots of indoor pic's and the pic's come out dull , a little dark. what setting should i have this camera set at in order to get crisp bright photo's .

Janey, I'm not familiar with the S50, but photography in general may be the answer. Could you provide us with a few more details? Perhaps even post a picture? Just from the information you did provide, it appears that your flash isn't providing sufficient lighting for the subject that you're shooting. This could merely be a case of too much distance between the subject and the camera. Your camera could also be metering on a light subject which would fool it into underexposing the image.
