Default My brand new T2i doesn't turn on sometimes.

My hubby got me a T2i for my Bday (god love that man!) and it's brand new. Even from the very first day, I would have to take the battery out and push it back in when I went to turn it back on (even if I'd just used it). Very unimpressed, especially since it's the most expensive thing I've ever owned.

Any ideas before I contact the company?

if it is still within the return period, have the store give you a new one.

Most unusual failure. Get the camera back, as shoturtle said.

This may seem like a stupid question, but did you charge the battery before using the camera?

The weird thing is that I'd have it working fine, take some pics. Turn it off for whatever reason, and then go right back to using it (even moments later) and it wouldn't turn on. I'd have to pop the battery out, push it back in, then it'd work again!!! So strange.

sounds like a loose connection somewhere.

Yep. May be a meticulous contact's cleaning can help.
