Default Reccomended Resolution

I am about to go on a trip and just got a Minolta G500. There are many different resolutions to pick from and I am wondering what to set the camera at. The largest picture that I would be looking To print would be an 8x10. But Normally I would just print a 4x6. Any suggestions.

Best recommendation is to always shoot at the highest resolution available. It's easy to decrease resolution without loss, much harder to upsize.

I've got this camera (but I have the Konica KD-510z label), and would always recommend shooting in the highest resolution.

You never know when you may want a larger photo, and higher resolutions can help. Also, you have more room to crop a photo for composition shooting at higher resolutions, even if you only want to print at 4x6".

Also, shooting in lower resolutions slows the camera down considerably (it must take extra time to downsize the image from the original 5MP image captured and processed).
