The recommended settings for this camera are:-

Contrast -1 (+2 for b&w)
Sharpness +1 or +2
Saturation = 0
Noise reduction -2

Some people like to adjust the white balance:-

3 clicks to blue
3 click to green

All intelligent options turned off

Yerh the noise reduction is a little too strong. It reduces noise but leaves the photo too soft.

As Square One has suggested, many people are turning the noise reduction right down ( -2) and not shooting at an iso over 400.

Is that more or less true across the board? Or different settings e.g. for Panasonic?

As far as I know, It is only for the panasonic fz cameras.

Nothing stopping you from trying it on another camera though.
