Default HP 733 digital camera

I received a HP 733 digital camera and docking station for Christmas. It's still in the box, because it's such a bullky looking camera, I'm considering returning it for a sleeker model. This is my first digital camera, so can anyone offer me any advice on the HP 733?

I found the model as being sold at Walmart only. I suspect that it was branded for Walmart by HP. Seems to have the same specs as the 735. 3.2mp and 3X optical.

Default 733 comments

I bought one from wal-mart. Took it home and then tried to find some reviews on it using a google search and came up empty. Even at www.hp.com they don't even list it as a camera they sell or a discontinued model. I think your right gibsonpd3620, it was probably manufactured specifically for wal-mart. As far as I have seen, the only differences between the 733 and 735 is that the 733 outputs video in avi format, the 735 in mpeg-1, the 733 has a 3x digital zoom and the 735 has 5x, and of course the price: 733 at just under $180 and the 735 at $199. I have also read many reviews on the 735 and found that it is 50/50 in user satisfaction. Although I have been very satisfied with my 733. I have had great photo quality indoors and out. I am a beginner to the digital camera world but I would think that for a camera under $200 it is a good buy. I'm sure that the more you pay, the more you get. So for a beginner or even an enthusiast I think that this camera is a great camera for the price.

If you company has the buying power of Walmart, you can have vendors make you specific model numbers that can not be sold anywhere else. It also helps the reseller because they do not have to worry about price matching.

gibsonpd3620, thats a good idea for major stores to do. Just never really heard of that before, untill trying to compare the 733 and found them in no other stores.
