Default S3000 Adddon Lenses

On this page towards the bottom:
http://www2.buydig.com/shop/product....&sku=FJFPS3000

they have some addon lenses; How exactly does this work?
do you take off the other lense on the s3000 and put this on?

sorry for the total noobish question but I'm curious. Also, is there any other lense that could possibly fit this besides a 55 mm?

tx in advance!

Those are converters, wide angle and telephoto, that screw in front of your regular lens like a filter. Those will give you really crappy quality. Nikon, Oky and Sony make good quality converters but I wouldn’t mess with Digital Optics.

thanks; I kinda figured they were 'off the cuff' but I was curious how they worked. Also, one more thing,
how do diameters work? do I need a step down ring for different sizes? or is there some universal code of diameters?
